Lilac Heart Homecare started with two people who knew what it was like to work in care and who wanted to make a difference.
Holly and Andrea started their journey as carers, seeing first-hand how much good care can mean to someone, but also how difficult things can be when the right support isn't there. We saw how important it is to have people around you who take the time to listen, understand and see you as a person, not just another name on a rota.
That stayed with us. We wanted to build something of our own, a service where care felt personal, where people mattered and where doing the right thing came before simply getting the job done.
That's how Lilac Heart Homecare began.
We are a small, independent homecare service built around the belief that people deserve to feel safe, valued and listened to in their own homes. We know that accepting support isn't always easy. Your home is your own space, your routines matter, and having someone come through your door takes trust. We never take that for granted.
For us, good care isn't about taking over someone's life. It's about being there when we're needed, helping with the things that have become difficult, sharing a laugh, listening when someone needs to talk and giving people the confidence to keep doing the things that matter to them.
We want the people we support to feel comfortable being themselves, to keep their independence for as long as possible and to know that the people coming through their door genuinely care.
As we grow, we want to hold on to the reason we started. To know the people we support, build real relationships with them and provide care that feels right for the individual, not a one-size-fits-all service.
Because to us, care has always been about people first.
